I met Yulia in San Francisco where we worked on our postdoctoral research at UCSF. I attended multiple talks she gave both in informal (e.g. lab meetings) and formal (e.g. international conferences) settings. I can testify to her ability to present with clarity complex theoretical topics and detailed rigours analyses. She transmits passion, dedication, and work ethic. We have co-organized study groups and journal clubs, so I also had the pleasure to witness her leadership skills.
